With such a busy schedule this week, I almost forget about the weekly Monday Photo Shoot #11
so here it is, posted on a rainy Wednesday, where I am right now, it's already the 12th March 08.
The challenge is to take a shot of something far away but include something much closer in the same shot. After searching my albums, I came with with these 2, the first one is taken in December 2007, while on my way to the resort island of Sentosa by the linking monorail system. The island is just minutes away from the mainland. What you see here is the part of the port near the monorail terminal with skyscrappers office building in the further distance. Photo was shot behind the glass window of the monorail.
The second photo was shot during the recent Chinese New Year celebration early this year in the same island , there was an exhibition of flowers there, and the whole island was decked with fresh plants with beautiful blooms. The statue of merlion you see here is the symbol of our country, and is actually an observation tower for visitors.
Hope these 2 pass the criteria set by Karen.

I love the first one; you've got three degrees of distance there, which makes it even more interesting. And the Merlion sent me to Wikipedia to read all about him. Interesting stuff!
I love the first one -- absolutely perfect for this photo shoot topic!
You always have interesting photos. I like the repetition in the first photo. It almost looks like an abstract.
