Friday My Town Shoot Out: Colours of the Rainbow

This week's theme is chosen by Debbie of The Pink Birdhouse, and it's the Colour of the Rainbow.
Here's something I found around my little island of Singapore:
Colourful traditional Indian dresses hanging in a shop in Serangoon Road or famously known as the Little India. Brightly coloured bangles to match the dresses too, take your pick.

One corner of the zoo, where flowering shrubs are planted to attract the butterfly.
It's common to see people of all ages wearing brightly coloured clothes here, wonder what these kids were looking at?
......just these beautifully coloured kois in a pond at the bottom of the Singapore Flyer..

Beautiful bird feeding on fruits at Jurong Bird Park.

Even the signboard at the Bird Park is in bright colours!

Flowers of all colours and sizes at the annual Sentosa Flower Festival, early this year.Sentosa is the resort island accessible by cable car, monorail and a road access from the mainland.
Beside flowers there's fruits/ vegetables on display too..

Fruits being sold by a fruit seller at Chinatown, almost all kind of fruits are available there and at every fruit stalls around the island. The last photo is of a home cooked meal prepared by me, a simple luffa ( ridged gourd) soup and steamed fish with soft tofu , served with a plate of black soya sauce with crushed bird's eye chilli and lime juice-it's fiery hot I tell you! All are eaten with plain white rice.
I hope you enjoy the pictures I've posted here. For more links to participating bloggers, click HERE.

Very chantek and colourful pix.

I love those Indian dresses, wish I can fit into them. I once borrowed a Pubjabi dress to wear to an Indian wedding. My daughter wore a Sari. The Indians loved us.

Your makanan looks like Chinese rather than Malay, so you mix your menu? Yummy chilli sauce. Sirdup!!!!
My dad grew so much kedolah aka loffah, I hardly cooked them as an adult. Actually that is half the reason, I am too lazy to peel the ridges. They sell the very skinny ones here, imported from Fiji.

You are very funny SAHM lah!!!! Once, my Ang Mo friends in NTU formed a club: LAH aka Ladies at home, I didn't think it was very funny. But they told their families and friends at home they were LAH ladies.

Friday very bagus, I love it. I can sleep in.

Cheers,

Ann :)

Ooooo...dinner looks delicious! I love all of the pictures, but I think that my favorite is the one with the vegetales spilling out onto the ground. Excellent.

I like your eye - I think your photos are my favorite so far (I am only half way down the list but so far the best.) I think the one I like the most is the fish - movement, color and texture - great photo
