Round Robin Challenge : WILDLIFE

The only King of Beast, at the Singapore Zoological Garden, there's 3 female lion to keep him company there.

Courting lions can mate every 15 minutes for 3 days, by the 3rd day, they would have mated 200-300 times!
The male often bites the female on the neck immediately after mating, the 'Love Bite' is believed to trigger the egg release from the ovary for sucessful fertilization. Jaguars and leopards do this too.

Wow, neat photos and such interesting info. The lion obviously keeps busy! Do they have very many cubs running around? One would think so, given that rate of reproductive activity!

Great photos! I didn't know that about lions, but I'm guessing my husband does, he's always watching nature shows!

Wow, fantastic shots of the lions, they are so relaxed and at ease! Were you up close or did you use a zoom lens? Well done!

I MUST visit your city one of these days, Singapore is so close to Hong Kong.

Have a great week ahead. Thanks for sharing.
