EMPS # 54 : Archived Photos

For this week's theme, Carly has chosen ARCHIVED PHOTOS, sound easy for me since I have thousands of archived photos that I have yet to share here. But narrowing it down to just a few give me a big headache! After going through them for a few hours I've decided to share the photos of my holidays in Bali , Indonesia in December 2006. Why I choose this is because that's the last time I went for a holidays with my husband, after that he doesn't want to travel anymore! He worked with a major airlines and we got free tickets for the whole family yearly, but after doing that year after year, he has enough!

But loosing a traveling partner doesn't clip my wings because I love travelling! now I usually travel with my brother's family or my mom.
The hotel we stayed in is just opposite the famous Kuta Beach and each day we make sure we went up to the poolside in the evening to immerse the natural beauty of sunset.
Sometimes we went go down to the beach and enjoyed the quietness when evening fall. During the day, the beach is quiet packed with the local especially at weekends.I love going to the beach but that don't like to get wet, I prefer to just stay on land with a book and camera and watch the surfer dudes have fun in the water.

We had lunch in this restaurant overlooking Mount Agung, the highest peak in Bali at 3100 metres. It's about 5-7 hours drive away from the town, it's very cold up there in the mountain .

This is Lake Bratan, near Mount Bratan, beautiful and quiet place to visit. It is the second largest lake in Bali. The important temple of Pura Ulun Danu solemnly guards the lake. The resort area of Bedugul offers excellent views of the lake, as well as a number of water activities such as parasailing, swimming, etc.

I hope I have a chance to visit this beautiful place again in the future, never mind if the hubby is not coming along as long as his credit card is accompanying me, I'm one happy woman! LOL

These are all great but I surprised myself when the one that really stuck out was the coffee mug. While it might not have the vibrant colors of the sunset, there is an undeniable quality about the lipstick on the mug. I can just picture you sitting there looking out over the water taking slow breaths as if to slow down time itself. Great entry!!

Re: the fourth photo
The cup seems to hold a lipstick mark that kisses the mountain in the background and my eyes were held by the link between the two.
This is a stunning photograph.
