Friday My Town Shoot Out: Doors & Windows
This week's theme was selected by Karri of Pop Rocks, here's my take of Doors and Windows
Colorful windows on the Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts (MITA) at Hill's Street.
Just next door to MITA is the 100 years old building of the Central Fire Station, the traffic stand still when the red door is open for the fire engine and ambulance rushing to do their job.
An ambulance coming out of the red door fire station, the driver is looking out of the window of the vehicle for passing traffic, of course there's the door to the ambulance he need to open first before he can starts the engine.
I just love taking photos of the majestic colonial building leftover from the British Administration long time ago. This building is used by the Singapore Freemasons Society.
Almost everybody in Singapore knows this building, it's the National Museum Of Singapore.
I just love this door, it has the modern glass element mix together with the wood carving behind it.
Door to a public bus.
I believe this is one and only hotel in Singapore which still retain it's old charm of a revolving door, but it's no longer manual. This is the Fulleton Hotel by the Singapore River.

Truly beautiful ...all of them ...but I especially loved the first one with all those colours!
The revolving door pf the Fullerton is so rich in gold. My son when he was young, used to go round and round the door.
We have one here in Auckland. But is chrone.
Beautiful photos. I think I must make it a point to visit these places and take some photos. Thanks.
such amazing detail and color in your country. I'm so jealous. It really makes me want to travel there when my kids grow up.

Wow! Hardly seen revolving door nowadays! Nice shot!
wonderful post. I especially like the fire station!
Gorgeous pictures - I love how bright and fun the windows to the MITA building are.
Great variety of photos with lots of colors. I like the old buildings and the firehouse. The revolving door to the hotel is also stunning. Awesome collection of photos you have.
Love the colonial buildings. And the revolving door. I've been thinking and thinking but can't remember when I last saw one! Like so many things from the past, they slipped away without me noticing.
You found some beautiful doors and windows and I love all of the colors. Revolving doors make me nervous :)
What bold windows and doors you found. May I say it reflected your personality? Great shots!
The buildings are beautifully designed. The colors are perfect too!
Excellent photos. "Majestic" was the perfect description.
Your post is a reminder that once upon a time people people recognized that buildings could be beautiful and contribute to making the world aa more graceful and elegant place.
thank you very much for sharing these beautiful images
A great assortment. Really like the revolving door.
many beautiful and interesting buildings. great shoot out!!
I sow your comment on another Friday Shoot out and realized I hadn't seen yours, sorry I missed it over the weekend when all your comments where comming. BUT - I love these buildings, they are interesting architectually. There is a whole section of London that has this alternating color and white blocks, but I have also seen it in italy (http://www.italiamia.com/images_portofino.html) the photo I just forwarded don't show the church clearly but the front arches also have this effect - it is considered Arabic (?)
lovely place.
