I don't know who got the first shock, the snake or me....we both crossed our path on a quiet park near my neighborhood. I've been there many times and this is the first time I've come across this little snake. It only stayed for a moment before it slithered quickly into the bushes. My son who was with me said it's just a harmless garden snake but it's definitely an undesirable animal in my book!

That is the most undesirable thing I could think of. I'm actually really afraid of them. Great take.
Well, of course, they do eat mice and other small critters which might be less desirable. I love snakes, myself.
Mine is up but the photos may be rather disturbing. The first I used in an earlier PhotoHunter but the second is one I haven’t dared put up publicly before. Just warning you…

The young kids would be frightened by it.
I like snakes. :)
I do not like snakes too that will hurt you. Good choice for the theme. Mine is ready.
Mine is here
You caught a very good picture of it. To think it's hiding in the grass.
What a great shot!!! You are sharp with the camera.
My Photo Hunt: Undesirable is up. I hope you have time to visit. Have a good weekend.
I'm with you. Not a big snake fan at all.
u were quick to capture a shot. i wouldnt like to meet it though
Wow! I can't believe you managed to overcome your shock and take a photo of the snake... who, yes, looks a tad shocked at the encounter! ;D
He's scary and pretty! And I'm sure you were both surprised by each other, lol.
What a GREAT photo! He blends in with the grass so well.
Nice photo, he looks like a grass snake.
It looks quite cute on your picture ! I have nothing against snakes, lol !
Jama: They do a lot of good and I enjoy the harmless ones.
wow..u managed to get a nice shot of it..
Eeeek! But what a great shot you got of him! :-)
My friends at NTU, a Buddhist Sri Lankan family, they have a balcony on a downsatirs unit. Guess what pet they have? A green thin grass snake. They say is harmless. They also think cats should be allowed to have one litter before you sterilise them.
That little guy can't hurt you anymore than a worm could. Great picture of him!`
i actually really like snakes :) i like how he stopped for a second to get his photo taken, good one!
