ABC Wednesday Round 6
A is for Ang Mo Kio MRT Station, built in 1988, the nearest station to my home, serving the populations of the town Ang Mo Kio.
The locality's name is believed by some to derive from the Hokkien phrase Ang Mo Kio (红毛桥), meaning "Red Tomato".
The town, built in 1973 by the Housing and Development Board under the Ministry of National Development is considered one of the matured public housing estates with established markets, schools, institutions, community, residential, administrative centers, and even a community hospital and other important amenities for the housing residents.
Across the MRT station is the Ang Mo Kio Hub, a newer shopping center built in 2007 , with an bus interchange on the ground floor which is directly linked to the MRT station via underground pedestrian walkway.

I thought you might explain Ang Mo the way we refer Ang Mos. My sis in law is Ang Mo, and on our emails, we talk about Ang Mos, and she asked if it is something bad, and I explained it is not. So we talk about Ang Mos all the time.
Yes, in July Sam and I went to the Singapore Zoo. Honestly, it is the best zoo I have been to.
