Zephyranthes Candida flower.
Other names: August rain lily, White zephyr lily, Peruvian swamp-lily, Zephyr flower, and Autumn zephyr lily. This is a white cultivar of a flower usually found in pink flowering forms, Candida, grows 152 mm to 254 mm (6-10 inches) tall. It's ideal for rock gardens and for tucking into ground covers.
Leaves are a deep glossy green and measure 3 mm wide. Flowers are erect in perianth white or sometimes pinkish abaxially. The leaf-like bract is 1.8 to 4 cm. They grow best in full sun to part shade and require a medium wet soil.
Propagation is done by dividing bulbs or offsets and from seed.

This is a lovely flower! I have quite a few daylilies, but I don't have one of these rain lilies. Something I should consider adding to my garden!

Lovely flower, I had a lily in my car once and the brown stuff stained the interior - but I still like looking at them and the way they smell. Zephyranthes candida - sounds like a song title, maybe I'll rember it that way.
Nicely!
Zephyr lily - a new one on me! Pretty though!
Beautiful flower and photo and informative post! Thank you!
