F is for FALAFEL
Falafel is very popular in the Middle East as a fast food. Vendors sell it on the street corners in Cairo. As a main dish, it is served as a sandwich, stuffed in pita bread with lettuce, tomatoes, and tahini. As an appetizer, it is served on a salad, or with hummus and tahini. Falafel is a favorite among vegetarians as it's made from ground chickpeas, onions, parsley and spices such as cumin and coriander. The mixture is shaped into balls or patties, then deep fried.

Pakora maybe - correct?
Please courier.
Oh I will have to find the recipe, do you have it?
Haha, I just had dinner but looking at that photo makes my stomach grumble! :D
I'm curious what sets them apart from the usual meatballs we have though?
I have seen it but didn't try it. I guess I have to taste test every food i see. :P
That looks tasty.
Falafel: great "F"! I have to laugh, because everytime I hear that word, rather than think of food, my goofy head takes me back in time to the talking-with-a-sleepy-drone Farfel (the hound dog), who appeared in a series of Nestlés Quik chocolate commercials during the 50s and 60s!
Farfel: "CH-A-A-A-W-CLIT."
Best wishes, SF~~~~~*
Oh, I love Falafel! What a great shot! And now I'm really hungry! Fun post! Have a great week!
Sylvia
oh..i love it!
And I have just eaten!
looks delicious
Mmmm... you're making me hungry. That one looks a bit like it's been dipped in batter before deep-frying, but maybe it's just the light.
Felafel is one of our national dishes too, but it's so oil-laden that I don't let myself indulge that often.
mmmm....I think I'd like those!
Yummy! Makes me hungry!

F is for Fish, Food and Friend
I confess that, although I have never been a Falafel fan, these looked incredibly appetizing. I think even I would enjoy Falafel cooked that way.
Fun post. Very educational.
i have had falafel, though not in some time. Yours, though, looks better than what I've had before.
Yummy! That looks amazing. I don't believe I have ever had a Falafel but I would be willing to try.

I just love falafel! It is great street food in many cities. Really good food on a fast-food budget!
Looks delicious - don't think I have tried it. A
I think I might have tasted it. Falafel I must remember food name.
Aaaah, anything with tahini is fine by me!! I love the stuff. I use it like peanut butter, mostly and eat it on toast, but I'm amazed at how many supermarkets here have no idea what it is!
