G is for GUNDAM .
GUNDAM or Gandamu is a metaseries of Japanese Anime created by Sunrise Studio that features giant robots . It started in April 7th, 1979 as a TV serial which has spawned many more sequels.
Bandai, the primary licensee of the Gundam trademark makes variety of products for the GUNDAM's fan, including these GUNDAM self-assembled model kits.
These are part of my 21 years old younger son's collections, he was introduced to it in the year 94 at the age of 6, and he was able to assembled the model kit on his own despite the illustrated instructions was in Japanese language. Since then his collection grew.
Being a hyper-active child then, I was so surprise seeing him sitting quietly for more than 2hours, fully concentrated, putting the model kit together.

very artistic
What a fun post! It's wonderful when young ones find something that occupies them so completely. It's artistic and challenging and those are the best! Great subject for the G day! Hope your week is going well!

I never heard of this series. My sons were into Ninja Turtles back then!
Great info!
Your son has the mind of an engineer! Great cultural/educational post.
Wow, my son would love to join him! Great toys and amazing skill. Have a wonderful week, Jama :)
Yes I am so familiar with this toys because of my nephew loves it. Thanks for the visit.
G is for Gold
Gundam!:P
I love Japanese anime except that one, maybe. Some of my female friends love it too, but I don't really understand why! :D Maybe I'm just not into robots.>_<
It looks like fun though! Must have taken him a good few hours to finish one. How tall is the model?
Your son sounds like mine! VERY active as a child, it was extremely hard to get him to sit still, and yet when he discovered model making (in his case, Games Workshop) he could concentrate for hours and keep himself amused. Now he is into the Japanese anime/manga genre and still makes intricate models using epoxy resins from scratch, and has an online comic, too. He's 30 this year!
Sounds like you found a way to channel his energy. Those are cool toys!
My son played with Goldrake it looks like the once you showed. I kept them in the attic because they are so special !
fascinated with these anime toys but really don't have the patience to build, less tinker with it. ^0^
great fotos! and go Gundam n beyond!
My grandson would love these toys. On behalf of the ABC team, thank you.
I still prefer transformers to gundam. They are not the same, aren't they?
Hi jama,
We mummies are incredible. We get involved in our kid's toys and books. Did you read Tin tin?
Totally unfamiliar with these. Must be a generational thing.
Looks like it requires more patience than I have to put together.
Never heard of this but it looks like fun!
Have a nice day!
