Friday My Town Shoot Out : Bridges

This week theme is Bridges and it's the first assignment in black and white.

Bridge of a ferry, that stops by St John Island from mainland Singapore.

Anderson Bridge, across the Singapore River. It's built in 1910 and still being used now but less traffic there ever since the Benjamin Sheares Bridge was built over the water.

Pedestrian bridge across a river in Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve.

A hanging bridge in Sentosa Island, linking to another part of the beach.

Walk slowly, as the bridge tend to sway and shake when people walk across it.

Henderson Wave Bridge, 36 meters above the road, linking 2 hills of Mt Faber and Telok Blangah . It's lighted at night and strictly for  pedestrian only.

View of the Henderson Wave from the main road, Henderson Road.

the first photo of the wave bridge, looks like a snake. Is it new? Don't think I saw it when I was living in Singapore in 2006.

As for software, tidak know, I only use. Last time there was a challenge about B & W, I got B & W, but this time, the husband upgraded, and I can only understand sepia. The mixing colours, also tidak understand. This new program tidak bagus, I prefer the old one.

I tried picasa , but too also tidak understand. I just do the simple straight forward things. Too much scolding from people. At least my number satu daughter says," Mum, you have done a great job already, not many mums can do the same as you have done."

Jama, you and I are the same, I think we both deserve a pat on our back.

We have lots of beautiful bridges in Singapore, haven't we?

I have yet to climb the Henderson Bridge, it would be months later.... when I recover from my surgery. :(

that wave bridge is fantastic. when I was a child we used to walk across a rope (swinging) bridge was great fun for children - if you bounced just a little is would jiggle and sway.

I think these are some of your very best photos, ever. Such a variety of great bridges, all wonderful shapes and angles! Your choice of black and white photography really sets off the structure of them and makes the photos that much more dramatic. Excellent, really excellent!

Now, don't forget to post your RR entry!
