Friday My Town Shoot Out : WROUGTH IRON

It's so easy to find wrought iron for me, all I need to do is pop over to my neighbours' home in the apartment where I stay. For safety reason we , the high flat dwellers, installed grills on our windows and a gate out side our main door. Some are using the wrought iron while some like me uses the stainless steel ones. It comes in different patterns and each home are allowed to choose one that suit their taste and budget.

Another neighbour's gate.

Oh that was lovely. Great job. I am learning so much from this project. I will be glad when it is nice weather and I can get out and around my beautiful historic town. I can find almost anything here. Blessings

Oh now, you have some very interesting photos here! I was disappointed I couldn't find more wrought iron signs in my neighbourhood.

Your last photo was just stunning. Thank you.

Hi all, Hi B & B and Mark,

I wasn't doing it deliberately. Like Jama's comment, I was worried the house owner would come out and ask me what I was doing taking photos of his/her house. So I went at an angle so hopefully he won't see me. Also in other photos, I was in my car making myself as inconspicuous. The photo of the house with the stairs and balcony, I was stalking the owner for a long time. He kept going up and down the stairs. I thought he would never go into the house.

Jama,

The above was my comment responding to FSO.

When in the 60s and 70s, people in Sarawak don't like to visitig people in Singapore. Like you say all the security. They say it is like a prison or a pigeon house. In the kampong in Sarawak, we walk freely in and out of people's house.

Now, In Sarawak, also sama sama. We lock up everything.

What you found are so different (much more decorative) than what I usually see. Thanks for sharing!
