The men in blue, is always an all time favorite hero in book Everyday they have to face danger in doing their duty to provide a save environment for the public. I'm not just talking about the Police officer, but the Firefighters, Paramedic and Rescue Unit too. All of them are under the Home Team .
There was an Emergency Preparedness Day organised by the Home Team and Resident Committee near my housing estate a few weeks ago, and we get to see how these heroes tackle an almost real life situation first hand.
The ever ready fire-fighters responding to a call of fire on a fast bike, they usually gets to the ground zero first as they can just zip in between traffic much faster than the big fire truck. They carry an impulse water gun with the portable tank on their back, these are used to tackle the fire first while waiting for the next group of fireman to arrive on a Rhino- a smaller fire truck- the brain child of one of the Commander years ago.
There are all sort of equipments in the Rhino, for used during fire and emergencies.
The men in caps are the police officers while the rest are the fire-fighters. Thank you, my heroes!

Hi Jama,
You should feature your sons in the NS uniform. They are real life heros.
Hi Jama...So nice to meet you through Friday Shoot Out. I so enjoyed my visit to your blog and this Fridays post. Your firefighter and police heroes truly are the ever ready with their remarkable equipment. It was neat to see your photos of them in action. I also enjoyed browsing your photos along your sidebar. It's very interesting and inspiring to see photos from different places, and your Singapore Island is quite beautiful. Thanks for visiting CollectInTexas Gal today.
I think you have chosen very worthy heroes. How sensible to have smaller vehicles to move quickly through the traffic. Great to have an opportunity to watch them in action without the trauma of lives at risk.
Fantastic collection Jama!! Lovely to see how the other side of the world works. Love the fireman's truck.... really small compared to ours, but I suppose whatever gets the job done!
A nice tribute to a great group of heroes!
I agree with you Jama, the police, firefighters, rescue units and paramedics are heroes, hardworking and faithful to their duties. now that is a firetruck I have never seen! looks very in the future type to me. all of your photos are perfect and fantastic Jama!!
Beautifully done. Thank you for sharing your town's heroes.
