FMTSO: WATER/LAKES/STREAMS

The theme this week is  Water/lakes/streams chosen by Nichole Howard. I'm staying in an island, so finding water is no problem as we are surrounded by water, man-made or natural.

Lagoon at Sentosa Island, it's man made. The right side of the beach was on reclaimed land to form a sheltered swimming area, from the open sea, which is now a major shipping route.

There's a hanging bridge linking both side of lagoon.

There's a 4 storey tower on the reclaimed land, with beautiful view of the island and the open sea.

Lake at Chinese Garden.

In between 2 small islands of Kusu and Sister's Island, the water there are deep with very strong current, no swimming is allowed here as boats passed this area.

Man-made waterfall greet visitors  upon arrival in our only zoo.

The reservoir around the zoo.

Another man-made waterfall and stream in the zoo.

No kids could resist playing  in this fountain, especially in our hot weather.

I like that bridge. Next time, two of us aunties can go on it and take photos at the same time, making other people irritable with us because they want to cross too. LOL

Too many fab photos to pick a favourite. Perhaps the zoo shots, perhaps that fast flowing passage which reminds me of Northern Australia. No. It's definitely the last shot. There's something about kids and water that is just so right!

I don't remember seeing that bridge when FSO did bridges (?) it is wonderful. the first shot reminds me of Salvador Bahia, they have a natural lagoon surrounded by white sand and palm trees. in Brasil we call you water falls - cascadas (cascades) - nice post.

Jama, I am so impressed with your talent and your eye for creating spectacular photos. I like all of the images, the palm trees spark my imagination of what it would be like to live in paradise and the others, the bridge is fabulous. Great shoot out.
