FMTSO: Transitions

The theme was suggested by Redlan of the Philippines. In his own words:
"Our town has full of transitions. Things are always changing and evolving. Situations that seem stable and constant can change in an instant or over days, weeks, months or years."

In simple term, a passage from one place or state to another. So here's my take on this week's theme:

A major transition in my little niece's life, from a life of fun-filled day of a pre-schooler to a serious and stressful life of a primary school student- a basic compulsory 6 years of education for all kids, failure which the Ministry of Education's officer will  visit with the parent with a hefty fine. Pre-schooler are not compulsory but are a must as this is where the kids learn about the basic of reading, writing , arithmetic,science....Financial disabled is not a good excuse for parents not to send the kids to pre-school, as there are ample financial assistance they can tapped. It's a basic right for every kids to be educated .

Transition of weather, from night to daybreak, with the area still in fog. The sun was already making it's way up to warm up the earth.

At Resort World Sentosa, around the newly opened Universal Studios, some parts are still undergoing transformation. In a few months time this place will be more beautiful with more nature and buildings blending in.

A work in progress, into something more beautiful, for that someone very special.

The curled leaves of the fern don't stay curled for long, it will soon be straighten as the leaves become more matured.

Hi JAMA, you are indeed a good photographer. I enjoyed this post. Education is the key to making it in life and that is a constant transition. Thanks for your visit.

Beautiful choice of pictures, all of them. I especially like the mist over the water, and that uncurling leaf, but it is very interesting to read about your school system. With parents held that accountable I bet most kids take it seriously.

Unfortunately some parents think that learning is not important, because they never did. Especially farmers for the kids are more useful on the fields then in schools. Fortunately that doesn't exist anymore at least not here.

Great shootout, Ann! It's good to hear of places where basic education is mandatory. Up to the individual how far to go, but not until a certain level is attained.

Your niece is so beautiful. congrat for her advancment into 'real school' I like the fine idea if children don't succeed in school. it is their right and our responsibility. Love the fern leaves. great shot.
