Friday My Town Shoot Out is a weekly photo sharing, from members around the world to showcase the happenings in their town based on selected theme. This week's theme is Spooky, I believe in conjunction with Halloween celebration. Being an Asian country, Halloween is not a very commonly celebrated here, except for the American expatriates . Some night spots are slowly beginning to incorporate this theme , just for the fun of it.
For a frightfully fun time at Singapore’s largest Asian-themed Halloween event, do drop by the a two-storey colonial building in Sentosa Island which will open its doors when night falls, walk through it for a spine-chilling encounter. Come face to face with ‘ghostly’ characters from Asian folklore and other unexpected “fiends”, including a pontianak, a pocong to a revengeful Peranakan lady.
Looking at this poster already gave me goosebumps, I definitely will not go for this spooktacular event! I'm sure I can find better things to do than scaring myself silly at night.

I saw this Chinese ghost costume in a mall recently, don't really looks scary, since it's in broad daylight.
Outside the entrance to a haunted house in an amusement park.
Graveyard looks so peaceful during the day, but another story comes nightfall.

Just a quick comment, I am scared of Hantu, come from Sarawak lah.
You will have to drag me to that theme restaurant.
I'm sorry to hear that the spooky expansion of American candy-makers is creeping into your country. I think all of the holidays have been kidnapped by big business.
I do wish holidays didn't have to be commercialized...agreeing with B&B's comment. Heck, 2 weeks ago I went into a home improvement store and they have Christmas trees up already.
Good and Scary!
I thought that chinese costume was pretty scary. I'm not really into spooky events either but I do like an occasional scary movie.
For not celebrating Halloween you came up with some pretty scary stuff! Nice job.
Jama, I think this is a fabulous post. I love how you adapted the theme to fit your town. I'm quite captivated by your last shot, the headless lady and the red around the bottom of the other grave - artistic but spooky!
i am interested in graveyards, making pictures of them IN THE MORNING but i don't want to imagine them at night...they're pretty creepy.
Your photos are always interesting Jama. I have to admit that Halloween is not a favorite with me and I have never liked it very much. Oh well!
you always do such a great post Jama. I like the last shot.
Cool and spooky pictures!
The headless monument really creeped me out.
Boo!
