Friday My Town Shoot Out : Sports and other games in your town

We are surrounded by water, and we have lots of sea-sport activities , and one of them is the Jet Ski.It's confined to the smaller islands near St John Island which is inhibited . I've never tried Jet Ski yet, I prefer to just watch them from a distance.

 A colorful glass lamp in Swenson's Restaurant. While everybody can't wait to attack the food, I'm was busy taking photos, first of the food and then the lamp! I always love stained glass lamp but never had a chance to owned one, so I settled for a collection of lamp photographs.

Something most of us are already addicted to, the internet! Photo taken at a hotel room in Indonesia, most hotels around the world are also providing either computer , WiFi hot spot around the hotel or cable connection in rooms. Even mobile handphone are also internet connected nowadays, so one is never away from the cyberworld.
Nowadays it's much easier to be connected to the net for free here, just look out for the WiFi logo around , in restaurants, airport, library....just need the one time online registration first with the relevant authorities and one is connected.

Friday My Town Shoot Out: Honoring Trees

Trees that provide us with fruits, Mango. Just behind my apartment block.

 Papaya tree.

Bottletree, namely for the unique bottle-shaped trunk.

 

Trees are everywhere, even along major roads.

A 30 year old Angsana Tree in my neighbourhood.

We need the trees, because importantly they release oxygen during photosynthesis !  Sunlight, water and carbon dioxide are taken in by the green trees during the process.
