FMTSO: Creepy Crawlies

I love photographing the creepy crawlies as long as they stay still and do not crawl to me. I used to be very squeamish about these little creatures until the sons came into my life. One of them was into insects, bugs....and would always bring some creepy crawlies home in a little bottle, in the pretense of studying them!

Whenever he tag along on my photo outing, he would be on the look-out for the creepy crawlies/ insects to be my model .

centipede among the grass.

An ant guarding it's eggs.

A red catterpillar, which will turn into...

a leopard lacewing butterfly.

Another pretty catterpiller which I rather leave it alone after photographing..love it's gorgeous patterns on it's body, wonder what kind of butterfly will emerged from it?

Big spider...

and little horned-spider..

The big spider, the tarantula.

Gorgeous creepy crawlies. I like the centipede with his brilliant colours. The caterpillars are amazing as well.

I did some research, your unidentified caterpillar may be a Vapourer caterpillar. Originally native inly to Europe, it's now found in Northern America and in much of Asia as well.

you found a great selection. I like the red one which looks like a sea cucumber.

these are truly awesome shots, all of them, love those ants, and would never see the beauty without your camera lens.

I love the way the centipede and ant seem to be in their environment -- nice angles. And the tarantula is definitly the creepiest one I've seen so far. And the ornate caterpillar is exotic!
