FMTSO: LAWN TOOLS

I don't have any lawn tools since I'm staying in a high rise apartment without a garden or lawn to take care off, so I have to look around at what the workers from the Town Council and National Parks Board use in their daily task of  caring and cleaning  of our parks and lawns.

Cutting of the grass in between the apartments, using hand held  string grass cutter.

For bigger and even area, the bigger land mover is used. Photo taken from my apartment.

The town council's worker clearing dead leaves daily, to keep the area clean.

Rake. spades and look carefully behind, there's a red mower at the back too.Workers from the National Parks Board still putting final touches at a promenade next to Punggol Beach.

The cangkul (hoe)- more commonly used here in Asia.

A  broomstick made from the sticks of the coconut leaves- used for raking and sweeping in the lawn/yard.

A great photo shoot, Jama. The overhead shot from your apartment is spectacular as is the hoe and broom rake. A creative shootout for someone without a lawn.

Clever idea to shoot what is used in the public parks etc. Here we are in winter now so the gardening season is over.

Love the hoe and broom shots, somehow you added a lovely softness to them. You prove you don't have to use tools to get photos of them.

Those last two tools are interesting; don't know that I've ever seen them before.

I lived in a similar HDB apt in Clementi during the one year that I was in Singapore. You reminded me of all the stuff I saw everyday. Thanks a ton!!! Love all the pics!!!
