EMPS #153: HERE COME THE HOLIDAYS.
"December has a ton of holidays, and ready or not, HERE COME THE HOLIDAYS! So, show me what you have to do to get ready for them. For this assignment, I don't want to see decorations, I want to see the boxes that they are stored in. I want to see someone up on a ladder hanging decorative lights. I want to see a parks and recreations staff putting a Christmas tree in place, or hanging holiday banners on street lamps. Let's see all the work that goes into making the HOLIDAYS sparkle!
Extra Credit: BOWS. It's a simple one this week for the Extra Credit portion of the assignment. Show me BOWS. Any color, any style, I just want to see some pretty BOWS."
Unfortunately I don't celebrate Christmas, so no photos of all the works of hanging all the Christmas decorations, plus malls here already put up the decorations as early as in November so no chance of any such photos too. Christmas are celebrated in a big way by the malls here, the whole stretch of our main popular shopping belt, Orchard Road, are brightly lit with all kind of lights and decorations. Shopping centers everywhere have their own deco too, with free short musical shows to entice more shoppers.
The same tree decorated differently in 2009, with a big bow.

yes, it was sad that one of the twins died, but if they were together, I think both would die. It was different when the Iranian twins were operated, I think they sd never be operated om.
Singapore spend so much moeny on decorations. Once I read that they throw away the decorations because it cost too much to store them. besides, the decorations won't be fresh.
i took many photos of first snow but i need time to post :) have a warm and sunny day and please send some heat to me :)
Wow! Wonderful shots!
Thanks for sharing;o)

Happy day****
I love the tree decorated in pink. That is one crazy big tree!
Those lights make the cars look small by comparison! I love the second shot looking up, and that you could contrast it with the 2009 one. I think the 2011 decorations are prettier!
And may I just add, thanks, Jama, for supporting EMPS and Round Robin all these years with your wonderful photos and with your comments. It means a lot to me, and I'm sure it means a lot to Carly, too!
