 Named Api Api which is Fire Fire in Malay, this fire-fighting craft was commission on 9th January 2003 and operated by the Maritime & Port Authority of Singapore.

Manned by trained emergency response personnel, this facility would provide response to shipboard fires and other marine emergencies such as oil and chemical spills in the Singapore port.

Api Api heading back to the pier for a change of crew before patrolling the sea again.
I went on a Maritime Learning Journey to a lighthouse recently and the Api Api put up a show for us while out in the sea.

In 1998, the fire bike concept was launched by the Civil Defence of Singapore to tackle the problem of traffic congestion and for faster response to fire in high rise buildings.

The fire bike team consists of two firefighters equipped with impulse guns, which can fire powerful bursts of water mist at up to 200 metres per second. Fire bikes are usually dispatched first, followed by the fire engines.

 

A fireman with the impulse gun ,look- no RED! just dark blue with bright orange stripes.

Huge big trees that provide shade from the harsh sunny day here.

All set to be send to parks around here.

Trees waiting to be re-planted somewhere else.

No place for big trees in your garden? how about bonzai tree then.
