Trying panning, need more practice!
This is easier, just stand by the roadside, set the camera on a tripod , using a slow shutter speed and just wait. This is about 3 minute drive away from my home, just opposite the MRT station with a bus interchange next to it and heartland mall under the same building as the bus interchange.

Light trails on an expressway very near to my apartment. There's an overhead bridge which link my neighbourhood to the another housing estate across the expressway.
Light movement using zoom effect.
It's fun chasing the pigeons at the Botanic Gardens, but I rather chase her with my camera!

I like the red lines on the express way, and the Indian dance.
Jama,
I removed my ord verification, too much hassle.
I love the panning effect and I have to practice mine too.

Nice job, but my favorite is the sparklers ;)
You really caught the spirit of this thing. I've never really practiced it - my dog shot was just luck. But I think you have some perfect examples here - sparklers, train window, car...and I agree with Ann. The new Blog word verifications give me a headache.
Excellent! You did what the rest of us were supposed to do. :))
I think you did it: panning I mean! Great collection of movement-and-light here. I love the 3rd one with it's bright lines.
Nicely done. I love the sparklers.
They are all great, but 2 & 6 are my favorites - as photos I enjoyed. I am so glad I was able to open the post today. Everytime I come by I look at the photos on the left side, am astounded at how good you are. hugs from Brasil.
I really enjoyed all of your shots--very cool!!
I looking and shooting action photos as well as movement.

Wow! You really got the panning thing down pat - I'm impressed! Love the last shot, can just feel the speed.
